Soprano Betty Allison is delighted to introduce her audience to the beautiful and immediately appealing Lieder of Julie Cavalcabó-Baroni. Her program highlights the expressive power of this gifted 19th century German-Austrian composer, as well as contemporaries who inspired her, and offers fresh perspectives on familiar poetic texts. Betty is joined by pianist Frances Armstrong, sought‑after across Canada as collaborator and coach, and known for her sensitive and intuitive playing.
