American-born pianist Andrew Yang, now residing in Iceland, takes us on a nostalgic journey with works spanning the entire Romantic era and the early 20th century. Infused with longing and passion, pieces by Schumann, Brahms, Medtner and Rachmaninoff are contrasted with evocative and ethereal works by Debussy and Ravel. The recipient of numerous awards during his active international performance career, Yang will also perform original compositions inspired by the Westfjords of Iceland.
