
Italo-Croatian pianist Pelliccioli is praised for her virtuosity, intelligent interpretations, and for programming that awakens the curiosity of the listener. Her art is informed by an inquisitive and adventurous mind – before committing to a career as concert pianist, she earned a double master’s diploma in Italian literature and ancient Greek history from the Sorbonne University. She currently holds a teaching position at the Paris Regional Conservatory, while also pursuing certification as a sommelier.
Biography:
Ida Pelliccioli was born in Bergamo, Italy. She studied at the Nice Conservatoire de Région and at the École Normale de Musique de Paris – Alfred Cortot in the class of Serguei Markarov, UNESCO Artist for Peace. During her studies, Ida Pelliccioli was awarded several scholarships, amongst them one from the Zygmunt Zaleski Foundation and one from Fondation Albert Roussel.
Ida Pelliccioli participated in a number of masterclasses, among others with Jean-Claude Pennetier and Gérard Wyss, and received a double diploma in interpretation and pedagogy at the École Normale in Paris. She received artistic guidance from Norma Fisher, who teaches at the Royal College of Music in London, and she is one of the rare pianists to have received guidance from the Cuban concert pianist Jorge Luis Prats.
Ida chose to avoid the international competition circuit and, before becoming a full-time pianist, received a double master’s diploma at the Sorbonne University—in Italian Literature and in Ancient Greek History, specializing, for the latter, in the practice of music during the Hellenistic period.
Ida has been performing throughout Europe, Canada, Southeast Asia, Australia and South Africa. She debuted in Singapore and in Thailand in 2025, and she will perform for the first time in Croatia in 2026 and in Liechtenstein in 2028. During her 2024–2025 season, Ida performed at, among other prestigious venues, the National Gallery in London, the Royal Theatre and Concert Hall in Nottingham, and the Lyceum Club in Florence in (collaboration with Amici della Musica di Firenze).
Ida shows a great interest in contemporary music: in 2023, she performed music by Polish composer Elżbieta Sikora with soprano Joanna Freszel live on French radio—France Musique—in September 2023.
Ida has always been open to other forms of art and collaborations. She appeared on screen, playing the role of a pianist, for the American TV series “Find Me in Paris”—seasons 1 and 2 (2017/2018)—and the French TV series “Munch” (2018) and “Le diplôme” (2025). In 2019, she was cast to double the role of the pianist in the short movie “Quand on ne sait pas voler”, directed by Thomas Keumurian and produced by FILMO.
In 2021, Ida also took up a teaching position at Paris Conservatoire du 8ème arrondissement. Ida is currently studying to become a sommelier and has received the international certification WSET2 in wines. She is developing a project of oenological concerts where she will pair wines with the repertoire she will be performing.
